How environmentally friendly is the IKEA Catalogue?
Our IKEA Catalogues were printed on totally chlorine-free paper and contained at least 10-15% post-consumer waste. No rainforest or old-growth fibres were used! Although they are no longer printed, read below to find out more from when they were still produced...
The pre-press process was 100% digital, which meant that no film was used and none of the associated chemicals. No optical brighteners were used on the paper either.
In order to move towards being even more sustainable, IKEA stopped the production of our annual catalogues in late 2020. The 2021 catalogue was the last printed catalogue available from IKEA.
