What is the minimum ceiling height I need to build a PAX wardrobe?
The minimum ceiling height for 201cm high PAX is 202cm for hinged doors, and 205cm for sliding doors, if built upright. The minimum ceiling height for 236cm high PAX is 237cm for hinged doors, and 240cm for sliding doors, if built upright.
Please be aware that the choice of doors being attached to the PAX frames will affect the minimum ceiling height required. As per the Buying Guides:
- The minimum ceiling height for hinged doors (or no doors/open plan wardrobe) is 202cm (for 201cm height PAX frames) or 237cm (for 236cm height PAX frames). This will require you to build the wardrobe upright.
- The minimum ceiling height for sliding doors is 205cm (for 201cm height PAX frames) or 240cm (for 236cm height PAX frames). This will require you to build the wardrobe upright.
Ceiling Heights when assembling the item.
In terms of assembling the item, there is a minimum ceiling height to take in to account if you wish to build the item on the floor and lift it up into place, and this will be dependent on the PAX frame height and depth. If you do not have this assembly height to build the item, you will need to build the PAX frame upright against the wall – this is detailed in the assembly guide.
35cm Depth:
- 201cm high frames will require 210cm to build on the floor and lift up.
- 236cm high frame will require 240cm to build on the floor and lift up.
58cm Depth:
- 201cm high frame requires 210cm to build on the floor and lift up.
- 236cm high frame requires 244cm to build on the floor and lift up.
