What is Matter and what does it mean?
A network standard like Matter enables smart products to talk to each other. It will allow you to add and interact with any other smart product following the Matter standard.
IKEA is fully committed to the Matter standard. Currently, there is Matter support for DIRIGERA hub available to test through "The Workshop", our experimental feature section in the IKEA Home smart app. This "beta" feature is currently only supporting light sources (including drivers). More product types will be added later.
Over time, our entire product range will support Matter via our DIRIGERA hub, which will serve as a Matter bridge.
