As a shiny black bat ornament pops up, shadows of flying bats flutter back and forth behind it. Another bat dangles down from above, then one moves into the middle and playfully spins around. In total darkness, a pair of orange eyes open. A flap at the bottom of a wall opens, revealing the lower half of a black cat ornament. Its full shadow stretches out in the light. As the cat spins around, paw prints appear one by one below it. A glowing ghost-shaped lamp changes from white to purple and then back to white again as it turns. The word "Boo!" appears in a speech bubble over its head. A white ghost decoration spins around in front of the black cat and bat decorations, and a spider scurries past them. The spider drops down from above, suspended by its web.

Two KUSTFYR tea towels, one with an orange pumpkin pattern, the other with a spider design, hang against a wooden wall.

For some people, Halloween starts the moment the temperature dips and the calendar flips to October – or much earlier (Summerween anyone?)– and our KUSTFYR seasonal collection is here to help you transition.

From Halloween sweet bowls and treat bags to pumpkin spice candles, seasonal covers for throw pillows and tableware that is on theme, there is spooky home décor suitable for nearly every room in your haunted house.

Orange and black are classic Halloween colours, but they're not the only way to do spooky season.

What are the popular colours to decorate with for Halloween?

Orange: A staple colour with all of the pumpkins dotted around.
Black: Adds contrast as the colour of night, when most of the spookiness happens.
Purple: A little mysterious. A little magical. A little witchy.
Red: A punch of dark blood red is a favourite among the local vampires.
Green: Glowing green cauldrons filled with potions enhance your kitchen.
White: Balances out darker colours and makes seasonal decorations stand out. And ghosts love it too!
