Cotton can be found in many IKEA products, from sofas to cushions and from bedding to mattresses. Cotton is breathable and absorbs moisture well. IKEA is part of Better Cotton, the world's largest sustainability initiative for cotton.

Treat yourself to the dreamy softness of cotton that’s grown with care. JUNIMAGNOLIA bed linen is woven from pure cotton that breathes, absorbs moisture and becomes softer with every wash. All the cotton we use comes from more sustainable sources, either being recycled or grown with care for the environment.

We work to make responsibly sourced cotton mainstream

Conventional cotton farming uses large amounts of chemicals and water. This puts farmers’ health at risk and damages the environment. Together with WWF and other partners, we are committed to creating positive change throughout the cotton industry making more sustainable cotton a mainstream material.

Water management is key for a better cotton production

Our work focuses on water, providing farmers with training in better water management practices. We apply the Water Stewardship principles which help to build resilient communities and are also expanding the scope of our cotton initiatives to include biodiversity and health management.
