“Fläder” is the Swedish name of elderflowers, creamy yellow flowers that are in full bloom around Midsummer time in most areas around Sweden.
In Sweden, elder is used for both syrup and spread. Here, elderflowers are mixed with orange and orange peel to create a spread with a fresh summer taste that is sweet yet refreshing.
