Use this lighting to avoid waking up your family members, since a soft light automatically turns on when you open your wardrobe or drawer. Place it where you like – it’s battery operated and rechargeable.

Product Details

The slim design with clean lines makes the lighting easy to place wherever you like in the home, even inside bathroom cabinets and drawers.

Suitable for use in confined spaces, such as cabinets and closets, as the LED light source only emits low heat.

Easy to place wherever you like, even in drawers, since the lighting is battery operated and rechargeable.

The sensor reacts to your body movements at a distance of 1.5 m and automatically turns the light off after 60 seconds, should you forget to close the door or drawer.

You can light up even the smallest space in your home and put it to practical use with this super-slim lamp.

Easy to charge. You just remove the lighting, charge the batteries with a USB-C cable and click it back in place.

The lighting strip brightens up the inside of your drawers and makes it easy to see and find what you need.

The light switches on and off automatically when you open or close the drawer so no energy is wasted.

You can use the lamp horizontally or vertically.

Easy to install inside the wardrobe frame – at the top or under a shelf by using the included fittings.

The lighting's passive infrared sensor (PIR) reacts to body movements and heat and automatically turns the light on when you open the wardrobe or drawer. You can even choose to switch on/off manually.

    With new, fully charged LADDA AA 2450 mAh rechargeable batteries, one charging will last approx. 60 days if the lighting strip is used 5 minutes per day.

    For the lighting to work, it must be positioned in place with the sensor facing you.

    The LED indicator blinks when charging and shines with a steady light when the batteries are fully charged.

    Batteries are sold separately. IKEA recommends LADDA rechargeable battery 2450 mAh HR6 AA 1.2V. 4 pieces required.

    Batteries should be handed in for recycling in accordance with local environmental regulations for waste disposal.

Best battery-operated sensor light!Anonymous reviewerAs a renter, I can't drill holes. This light can be placed anywhere. The size is perfect for any shelf or drawer, and the light is powerful enough. I also like that it's warm-white light, which gives a very nice feeling towards the contents of the shelves. I wish I could show you the picture. The color blends perfectly with the shelves, and the shape is really well-designed so that the light is directed towards the contents and not towards the person opening the shelf. The light includes in itself a USB-C charger, which really sold it to me, so no more taking the batteries out and in again, just plug the light into any phone charger or laptop or even power bank. I'm putting these everywhere!5

Designer thoughts

My goal with KÖLVATTEN battery-operated lighting was to create a cordless lamp that is easy to install, use and charge with a standard USB-C cable, regardless of whether it sits in a wardrobe or in a drawer. The shape follows the function to create space for the batteries and the correct angle for the LED light, without looking too technical. I hope you appreciate the simplicity of the lamp.
