We offer our members product offers, personal and general membership benefits, as well as rewards, ideas and inspiration. Best of all, becoming an IKEA Family member is completely free.

These IKEA Family membership terms and conditions apply to the IKEA Family Membership offered by IKEA Oy ("IKEA Finland"). By becoming a member, you agree to these terms and conditions.

2. How can I become an IKEA Family member and subscribe to the newsletter?

Joining is easy! Join IKEA Family at IKEA.fi/liity or through the IKEA app.

To receive our newsletter and occasional surprises (i.e. discount vouchers), you must opt in to our digital marketing communications when you join. Alternatively, you can also choose how you wish to receive communications at any time after logging in to your member account. You have the right to opt-out of our digital marketing communications at any time.

3. Identifying yourself as an IKEA Family member

To enjoy IKEA Family benefits and collect points, you must identify yourself as an IKEA Family member whenever you shop with us or interact with us

Ways to identify yourself:

  • In the app or online: log in using your email and password or a one-time code sent to your email.
  • In-store: present your digital membership card (available in the app, on your member page, or at the end of IKEA Family newsletters as a QR code), or provide your phone number, email address, or membership card number. You must also provide proof of your identity if requested.

If you want, you can download the free IKEA app, so your IKEA Family card is always with you when you go shopping Download the IKEA app for an iOS device or for an Android device

4.4 Free 14-day Oops insurance

When you identify yourself as an IKEA Family member at the time of purchase, you will automatically receive additional coverage from IKEA Finland for damage that occurs while you are transporting or assembling the product. We call this additional cover the Oops insurance. The Oops insurance saves the day if you damage your product.

How to get the benefit

4.4.2 What kind of situations are not covered by the Oops insurance?

  • Products purchased from the As-Is corner or custom-made worktops

  • Contact IKEA Customer Service within 14 days of the original purchase date or delivery date to replace the damaged part or product with a new one.

  • Our primary aim is to replace the part of the product that is damaged. If a spare part is not available, we will replace the whole product with a new one.
  • If you are unable to transport the damaged product yourself, it is possible to replace it through the IKEA delivery service. You will be charged the normal transportation price in accordance to your residential district both ways. The service includes both the collection of the damaged product and the delivery of a new product.

  • You can use the voucher code for one single purchase.

4.7 Rewards from IKEA Family

As an IKEA Family member, you collect points that you can use to choose a reward. To enjoy rewards, you must have an active account with the possibility to login on our website. Please note that you cannot collect points on purchases that you make as a member of the IKEA Business Network, as you cannot benefit from both programs at the same time.  IKEA Finland reserves the right to change the terms related to collecting points and rewards, add new or remove existing ways of collecting points or rewards, adjust point amounts, or discontinue the collection of points or the offering of rewards at any time on the following grounds:

  • development, modification, and improvement of the service;
  • addition of new features or benefits, or other changes to the features or benefits offered at any given time;
  • business or financial reasons;
  • changes in technical solutions;
  • changes in legislation or in regulatory requirements or guidelines; and
  • prevention of misuse.

We will always announce changes on our website and, when necessary, through other channels.

4.7.1 Collecting points when you shop

You can collect points when you spend at least 5 euro in one transaction at one of our IKEA stores, restaurants, bistros, Swedish Food Markets or planning studios or when placing an order through customer service, within our IKEA App or online at IKEA.fi.

You earn one point for every 5 euros you spend. The amount used to calculate the number of points you collect is the total you have spent on IKEA products and IKEA services after all discounts and vouchers have been applied. Collecting points requires that you identify yourself as an IKEA Family member (see section 2).

When you shop at an IKEA store and both take products with you immediately and place orders, you pay for all products together at the checkout and receive a receipt for your purchase. However, your points will be credited separately, depending on the purchase value and when you collect or receive the products:

  • Products that you have placed in your shopping trolley yourself and paid for at the checkout will be credited according to the purchase value within 48 hours after the payment process in the IKEA store.
  • Products that you ordered via delivery and paid for at the checkout will be credited according to the respective purchase value within 48 hours after collection or delivery.

The only purchases that do not qualify for points are gift card purchases. To earn points for service purchases, the service must be paid through IKEA. You cannot earn points on any services that you book or pay for through a third-party provider. See more information about IKEA Finland’s right to change IKEA Family rewards in section 4.7.

4.7.2 Collecting points from interactions

You can also collect points by interacting with IKEA. The current and up-to-date description of ways to collect IKEA Family points is available on the IKEA website on Jan 28th 2026.

Collecting points from interactions is limited so that points based on the same type of interaction can be earned no more than once per week. An exception applies to creating and saving a kitchen plan, for which points can be earned no more than once per month. Collecting points from interactions requires that you are logged in to your IKEA Family profile or identified as a member (see instructions in section 2. Identification as an IKEA Family member).

See more information about IKEA Finland’s right to change rewards from IKEA Family in section 4.7.

4.7.3 Requirements for collecting points

To collect points for online purchases and interactions, you must be logged in to your IKEA Family profile or the IKEA App when you make an interaction or place an order. To collect points for purchases and interactions in-store, you need to identify yourself as an IKEA Family member by using your physical or digital IKEA Family card, or by looking up your profile at the checkout using your phone number or email address.

When shopping via remote meeting points or paying through a payment link, you must add your IKEA Family card number to the order.

It is not possible to add points afterwards for purchases or interactions if you did not identify yourself at the time, even if you have a receipt or other proof of the purchase or interaction.

4.7.4 Updating your points total

Points will be added to your IKEA Family profile within 48 hours after you shop with us or complete an interaction. Please note that if you place an order for delivery, your points will only be added once the products have been delivered, and all related services have been completed.

If you return purchased products that have earned points, we will deduct points based on the total amount of the returned products. Please note that points for returned products are always deducted from the IKEA Family profile used during the return process. This means that if the person returning the product is an IKEA Family member, the points will be deducted from the returner’s points balance, even if they did not originally purchase the returned products and therefore did not earn points from those purchases. In practice, such a deduction may result in a negative points balance.

A negative points balance can also occur if points have been used for a reward before the product is returned. A negative points balance does not involve any special requirements, payment obligations, or other responsibilities. You can continue your membership as normal, and your points balance will automatically increase the next time you collect points from your purchases or interactions.

4.7.5 Points

You can view your points total, points history, and available rewards in your IKEA Family profile or in the IKEA App.

Points are not refundable or transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. They can only be used to redeem rewards offered by IKEA Family.

Collected points are valid for 18 months from the date they are added to your IKEA Family profile and will expire automatically after that period. Please note that a negative points balance does not expire.

4.7.6 Redeeming collected points

Once you have collected enough points, all applicable rewards across different categories will automatically become available in your IKEA Family profile.

The current and up-to-date description of how points can be redeemed and the rewards available at any given time is provided on the IKEA website on Jan 28th 2026.

You can choose your reward from the options available to you. The corresponding number of points will then be deducted from your points total, and you will receive an email with your personalised reward voucher code. Reward vouchers are valid for 30 days from the date of receipt.

If you change your mind, you can cancel the reward voucher you selected within 30 days of receiving the reward voucher by email. The points will then be added to your IKEA Family profile again. You need to contact our customer service if you wish to cancel a reward voucher. You must make contact during business hours on or before the last day on which the voucher is valid.

See more information about IKEA Finland’s right to change rewards IKEA Family in section 4.7.

4.7.7 Redeeming reward vouchers

Reward vouchers are valid for 30 days after you receive them and can only be redeemed once. You can redeem your reward voucher in IKEA stores, planning studios, online store, the IKEA App and through remote meeting points. To use a reward voucher, you must identify yourself as an IKEA Family member at the time of purchase.

To redeem a reward voucher, your purchase must meet the minimum purchase requirement shown when selecting the voucher. For home delivery rewards, no minimum delivery fee applies. If the voucher value exceeds the delivery fee, no refund or credit will be given, and the voucher cannot be reused.

When you’re shopping online on our website IKEA.fi or on the IKEA App you can only redeem one voucher per order. Your available reward vouchers will be displayed in your shopping bag online and you just need to select the one you would like to apply or you can add 16-digit code to the discount code field in the shopping bag.

When you’re shopping at an IKEA store or planning studios you can redeem multiple reward vouchers across different categories. You must show your reward vouchers at the checkout – either as a printout or on your phone screen – so they can be scanned.

When you’re shopping via our remote meeting points or want to pay your order through payment-link you need to give to the co-worker your 16 digit reward code that will be added to your order.

Reward vouchers cannot be used to pay for or receive a discount on IKEA gift cards.

Returns: If you return a product purchased in whole or in part using a voucher redeemed from your collected points, you will receive a refund equivalent to the amount you paid for the product. No replacement voucher or refund of points will be provided. For details on how returns affect your points balance, see section 3.8.4 ‘Updating your points total.

Cancellation:

  • If you redeem a voucher when ordering products but cancel the order before payment, the voucher is not considered used. You can use it within its original validity period.
  • If you cancel the order after payment, a new voucher code will be generated for you to use again. You can use it within its original validity period. You will find the new voucher in your IKEA Family profile, and we will also send it to you by email. (Please note that the new voucher has a newly created voucher code.)

5. Digital marketing communications to IKEA Family members and data protection

The purpose of the targeted IKEA Family newsletters and other digital marketing is to provide members with individual ideas and home decorating inspiration tailored to their needs.

By approving IKEA Family marketing messages, you give us consent to send you IKEA content such as information about offers, products and events. Consent is valid for emails, SMS text messages and/or targeted marketing in digital channels such as social media. Messages may be personalized based on for example information you've given us, your purchase history or IKEA.fi browsing behavior if you've allowed relevant cookies.

Privacy is essential to us. We encrypt all your information before sharing it with our social media or advertising partners for personalized and targeted marketing so they can never identify your information. By targeting we aim to make sure you only see advertising that is relevant to you in the social media channels we use, for example we can stop you from seeing advertisements for a product you have recently bought.

We believe in simplicity and avoid sending messages too often, especially via SMS. You can change your marketing communication settings for each channel specifically or remove consent for all IKEA Family marketing messages in your member profile.

6. Termination of membership

You can terminate the contractual relationship at any time without notice by deleting your profile. You can do so through your IKEA Family member account in "Remove user account".

IKEA Finland has the right to terminate the membership of an IKEA Family member if the member does not comply with the IKEA Family membership terms and conditions.

We reserve the right to deactivate your account if you have not used your IKEA Family membership card or membership for three years.

Please note that if your membership ends, whether at your own initiative or at the initiative of IKEA Finland, the points, rewards and other benefits described in these terms will be invalidated and will not be reinstated, even if you resume your membership later.

7. Other terms and conditions

We do our best to make IKEA Family a great experience and to ensure it works smoothly, but we cannot guarantee flawless operation in all situations. We are not liable for any direct or indirect damages or losses resulting from technical disruptions, errors, or service interruptions in the IKEA Family program, unless caused by intentional or grossly negligent actions by IKEA.

IKEA Finland reserves the right to make changes to these IKEA Family membership terms and to the IKEA Family program in general at any time by announcing the changes within a reasonable time in advance on our website, based on the following grounds:

  • development, modification, and improvement of the service;
  • addition of new features or benefits, or other changes to the features or benefits offered at any given time;
  • business or financial reasons;
  • changes in technical solutions;
  • changes in legislation or in regulatory requirements or guidelines; and
  • prevention of misuse.

If you continue as an IKEA Family member after the changes take effect, you are deemed to have accepted the updated terms.
