IKEA recalls SMÖJTRÄD chandelier candles due to the risk of fire and burns
IKEA urges all customers who own the affected SMÖJTRÄD chandelier candles to stop using them and contact IKEA for a full refund. Due to a manufacturing error, some SMÖJTRÄD candles may contain additional wicks embedded within the wax. In the affected products, the additional wicks may ignite, causing a larger-than-expected flame and posing a risk of fire or burn injuries.
Why are these products not safe to use?
Safety is a top priority for IKEA, and therefore, we are recalling SMÖJTRÄD chandelier candles due to the risk of fire and burns.

What should customers do?
Customers who own an affected product should immediately stop using it and contact IKEA for a replacement product or a full refund. Additionally, IKEA encourages customers to spread the word about this recall, especially if they know that the recalled product was offered or sold to someone else.
Affected products can be returned to any IKEA store for a replacement product, or a full refund. Returns are possible also remotely by contacting IKEA customer support. Proof of purchase (receipt) is not required.
