What is phishing and how can I protect myself against it?
Phishing is a form of fraud in which the fraudster pretends to be a person or company you trust.
Always check the email address registered to the name of the company sending you an email, and never click on links without being 100% sure of the sender.
What you should look out for:
Be sceptical of implausible offers. Pay particular attention to unknown senders and links. Linguistic errors such as spelling mistakes or unusual phrasing can indicate fraudulent senders.
Even offers that appear to come from IKEA because they use our logo and graphics and do not contain any linguistic errors may be fraudulent.
You should delete suspicious emails without clicking on any links. Please never disclose confidential information.
