How do I buy an IKEA gift card?

You can buy an IKEA gift card online as a digital card or in a store as a physical card. It can be used immediately and can be redeemed both in the store and online. Physical cards expire after three years, digital cards do not.

Digital Gift Card

  • Directly online in the IKEA Gift Card Store available.
  • Will be sent by e-mail as an image (no PDF) – also possible to another person.
  • Ready to use, no activation required.
  • Payment by PayPal, Visa, Mastercard or AMEX.
  • Load values: 10 € – 2.500 €.
 

Physical Gift Card

  • In the IKEA store available (checkout area).
  • Immediately ready for use and can be used without waiting.
  • Can be purchased with all common means of payment.
  • Loading amount: 1 € – 15.000 € (often the usual limit: 2,500 €).
  • Can only be charged in the store.
 

External sales outlets

  • Available in over 20,000 partner branches: petrol stations, supermarkets, drugstores, Postbank, etc.
  • Fixed amounts: 25 € or 40 € (depending on the retailer).
  • Activation only 24-36 hours after purchase.

Digital Gift Card

  • Can be ordered online.
  • Contains Card number + redemption code (necessary for credit query).

More than five gift cards

  • Order by e-mail to geschenkkarte@ikea.com.
  • No minimum order value, freely selectable amounts up to €2,500 per card.
  • Ships within 5-7 business days with invoice.
  • Activation Done after receipt of payment and maps are Valid for 3 years.

  • With Promotional or prepaid cards no new gift cards can be purchased.
