Do I need a remote control to control my smart home?
With the DIRIGERA Hub, you can control your home without a remote control and add new smart products using the IKEA Home smart app.
If you're starting with IKEA Home Smart, we recommend that you use the KAJPLATS Starter Set. You first control this with a remote control.
For example, if you attach your remote to a wall, it's easier to access than an app is. This makes it easier for your guests to use your IKEA Home smart products.
The remotes also work if the internet connection is lost - or if you've forgotten where you put your phone.
