Can I control my IKEA smart home even if my internet connection is interrupted?
Yes. Both the DIRIGERA Hub and the TRÅDFRI Gateway need to be connected to your Wi-Fi router, but they don't require an actual internet connection.
You can still control your smart products with remote controls or via the app as long as your mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
This means that if your internet connection from your provider fails, you can still control your lights. However, if you disconnect the Wi-Fi router during the outage and restart it, this is no longer possible.
