Yes, both the DIRIGERA Hub and the TRÅDFRI Gateway need to be connected to your Wi-Fi router, but they do not require an actual internet connection.
You can still control your smart products with remote controls or via the app as long as your mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
