What do I need to consider when installing doors for PAX?
When fitting doors to your PAX wardrobe, it is important to consider the height of the ceiling and the position of the hinges.
Sliding doors
The rails of the sliding doors are mounted on top of the closet. To be able to fit the sliding doors, you need a ceiling height of at least 240 cm with a frame of 236 cm and a ceiling height of 205 cm with a frame of 201 cm.
Doors with hinges
When installing doors with hinges, it is important to ensure that the hinges are fitted at the correct height. The easiest way is to attach the hinges to the doors first and then attach the doors to the cabinet.
Would you like to equip your PAX closet with drawers? No problem! Please note that drawers can only be fitted in a place where no hinges are fitted.
The hinges are arranged unevenly from left to right on a 201 cm PAX closet.
If you mount the hinges on a 201 cm high frame, the hinge on the right-hand door is one position higher than on the left-hand door.
As a left-hand door is simply a right-hand door turned upside down, the middle hinge is slightly above the middle on one side and slightly below it on the other. Our online planner takes this into account when positioning the interior fittings.
PAX doors with hinges are not pre-drilled, so you can decide for yourself which knobs and handles you want to use and where you want to attach them to the door.
