Can all children use the IKEA Småland play area?
Find out what age children can visit Småland, which requirements apply and at which IKEA stores it is available.
We’re happy for parents to use the IKEA childcare service while shopping and for children to enjoy the Småland play area. There are a few things to keep in mind:
How it works
- Age: Småland welcomes children aged 3 to 10 years.
- Accompanying adults: Parents or accompanying adults must be 18 or over and bring a valid form of ID such as a passport or identity card.
- Proof of age: To confirm your child’s age, please bring their passport, identity card or health insurance card.
- IKEA stores: Småland is available at all IKEA stores in Austria, except IKEA Vienna Westbahnhof and IKEA Planning Studios.
- Opening hours: Opening hours may vary by store. You can find the latest times on IKEA.at.
Good to know
- While your child is playing in Småland, you can enjoy your shopping or take a break in the IKEA restaurant.
- Childcare is free of charge.
- The maximum childcare time is usually one hour, although this may vary by location.
