1. Plan for a green corner, window, wall – or a whole room

First of all, choose a spot with lots of natural and preferably indirect light for your indoor jungle. Then, gather your pedestals, small tables and stools and place them where they fit best. Placing pots at different heights and on plant stands adds life and a lush feeling to any room, turning even a small corner into a wee bit of wilderness. If you’re really passionate about plants, why not frame a large window with greens, or create an entire jungle room?

2. Pick your plants and think of where to place them

To create your personal, vibrant oasis, choose plants you like of all types and sizes. Buy new ones, get cuttings from family and friends, grow fruit from seeds, or propagate your own – it’s easier than you might think. Each plant will add a unique touch and its own story. Artificial plants are great for places that are difficult to reach when watering and for spots with too much or too little sunlight. If you hardly have any natural light at all, consider adding some artificial lighting.

3. Pot your plants with room to grow

Give your plants generous pots and a good soak after repotting. Then, place them where you think they will thrive – and be prepared to move them around if they don’t. This robust and functional KOLBJÖRN shelving unit displays your green friends and hides away gardening tools.

4. Pamper your plants, and they will return the favour

When watering, take a minute to tidy up by removing dead leaves and checking for pests. If a plant looks down, a gentle mist now and then or a new spot might perk it up. Take good care of your green friends, and they will become cherished roommates, filling your home with life and joy.

5. Choose furniture for your new favourite place

Sit back, relax, and enjoy what you have accomplished so far. By adding comfortable seating, somewhere to put a tea cup, and new greenery to the mix now and then, your indoor jungle will become a living, evolving, and energising space making your home feel like a sanctuary where you can unwind and recharge every day.
