What’s been keeping us awake at night? The dream of creating cosy bedding that uses less virgin cotton. Meet SOLFIBBLA bed linen, made with 50% recycled cotton sourced from textile production waste. Shorter fibres make recycled cotton harder to work with, but with plenty of persistence (and a few late nights), we found our way. And created a soft, durable fabric that even the pickiest sleeper will appreciate.

How do you know which bed linen material is right for you? We all have our unique style and comfort needs, so it helps to know the benefits of the different types. Here’s a quick guide to tell you all you need to know about the different materials that make up our bed linen.

Lyocell: excellent moisture-wicking properties and a silky feel means lyocell bed linen creates a cosy, dry sleep environment. Blends beautifully with cotton.

Viscose: lightweight and colourfast, with a soft and smooth texture, viscose creates breathable bed linen that also blends well with cotton.

Cotton: soft cool and crisp cotton is a durable fabric that allows air to circulate and absorbs moisture, while feeling gentle against your skin.

Polyester: easy care and wrinkle-free, polyester is very colourfast so it always looks and feels good. Which will you choose?

SOLFIBBLA is an old favourite which now has been updated with more visible stripes and new colours. It’s still made of 100% cotton, out of which 50% is recycled.

Many of our most popular bed linen sets are available in multiple colours and patterns, making their individual components easily interchangeable. We love a colour block look that combines 3 different colours across the top sheet, fitted sheet and pillowcases, but you can add even more fun by using different colours for each pillowcase as well. Mixing and matching complementary solids and patterns is also a fashion-forward option.

By working with eco-friendly and supremely soft materials like lyocell, we don’t have to compromise on comfort to reduce our environmental impact. We also consider that one of the most impactful ways to improve sustainability is to produce quality products that will maintain their comfort wash after wash, and not need replacing as often.
