Ash is a strong hardwood material with a beautiful grain pattern. As it ages the colour deepens moderately towards a deep straw colour.

How do we get all the beauty of wood without all the weight? Looking to the sky solved our design puzzle. Inspired by aircraft engineering, LISABO table features a lightweight, accordion-shaped core made from high-density fibreboard. It helps us use less material but offers great strength and stability. Giving you a table that’s easy to move around and strong enough to handle whatever you throw at it. Sometimes, the best design ideas come from looking in unexpected places.

"The idea behind LISABO was to create a series with the distinct feeling of wood, a floating expression and durable, easy to assemble construction. We chose a matt lacquer on the ash veneer so the furniture will keep its natural wood feel. The special technique we use allows the tables to be produced without support rails and with slanted edges that give it a handcrafted look. The furniture can be used in different ways and the pieces work great together or individually."
