Batteries are sold separately. IKEA recommends LADDA rechargeable battery. This alarm clock also works with alkaline batteries, 1xAAA 1.2–1.5V.

The design is neat and toned down, the bright blue colour is stylish – yet the alarm takes centre stage since it increases in 4 steps over 2 minutes, if it’s not turned off. Enough to awaken heavy sleepers!
