How to take a break when there’s no time

A meditative pause now and then will help you cope with intense days with family and friends, Here’s how to make it happen.

How to take a break when there’s no time

When your life is overloaded with family, friends and socialising, a quick break to recharge can be priceless. See how you can cease the moment and make it a time of rest.

Build a brief bubble

Adjusting two armchairs to face each other is done in seconds. (To complete your bubble, close the gap altogether.) You’ll have an instant cocoon, ready for a short nap or just a bit of uninterrupted me time.

Breathe in, breathe out

A deep sill can be enough for a meditative pause. Add textiles and a LUDDE sheepskin for comfort, a roller blind and a steaming mug of tea. Now sneak off to your personal window of introspection.

Heed the curtain call

Let a spare mattress become an emergency creative corner. Use floor-length curtains to create a privacy shield – and a flowing canopy. A few moments to yourself, and you’ll be ready to rejoin the everyday flow in no time.
