IKEA Family terms and conditions

1. Program Introduction

  • The IKEA Family Program is a free membership program offered by IKEA Saudi Arabia. Registration constitutes explicit legal acceptance of all the terms and conditions below. The member is committed to full compliance with these terms throughout the term of membership, and the company reserves the right to amend or update them at any time. 

 

2. Registration and Membership Terms

  • Each member is entitled to apply for only one membership. 
  • Registration must be completed using a valid mobile number and/or a reliable email address, and accurate and up-to-date information must be provided upon registration.
  • Registration is conducted exclusively through the official IKEA website or through the approved smartphone application.
  • Membership is personal and non-transferable, non-sharing, and non-official use of the membership is prohibited.

 

3. Membership Card

  • The card is issued in digital form and displayed within the member's account on the IKEA app or website.
  • Under no circumstances may the card be used by a third party, traded, or photocopied for unauthorized use.
  • IKEA reserves the right to suspend or cancel the card immediately if any illegal use or violation of these terms is suspected. 

 

4. Benefits and Offers

  • Membership offers a range of benefits, including, but not limited to, exclusive discounts, invitations to special events, and personalized marketing content.
  • All benefits are granted at IKEA's sole discretion and may vary or be modified according to internal policy without prior notice.
  • IKEA is not obligated to provide fixed benefits or offers and may withdraw or modify any benefit at any time without any legal liability to members. 

 

5. Offer Restrictions

  • •Offers may only apply to specific categories or products and for specific time periods.
  • Discounts or promotions may not be combined with any other offers, unless expressly stated otherwise by IKEA.
  • IKEA reserves the right to refuse to apply a discount or offer in the event of misuse or suspected fraud. 

 

6. Personal Data and Privacy

  • The member acknowledges their full responsibility for updating their personal data periodically to ensure accurate communication and the provision of benefits.
  • By registering, the member gives IKEA his consent to receive marketing and promotional messages via text messages, email, or messaging applications such as WhatsApp.
  • The member can modify his communication preferences or unsubscribe through their account or through the links attached to the messages. 

 

7. Data Protection

  • IKEA is committed to processing member data in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Data Protection Law in force in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and in accordance with the company's Privacy Policy.
  • The data is used for the purposes of organizing membership, developing services, and analyzing purchasing behavior to customize offers.
  • The data will not be disclosed to any third party except in accordance with legal controls or with the member's verified consent. 

 

8. Membership Termination or Suspension

  • IKEA has the right, without prior notice, to suspend or terminate the membership of any user in the following cases:
    • Providing misleading or inaccurate information.
    • Misuse of offers or programs.
    • Committing any activity that is considered fraudulent or in violation of the Terms.
  • IKEA reserves the right to modify or terminate the program, in whole or in part, at any time, as it deems appropriate, with notice to members where appropriate. 

 

9. Legal Liability

  • The member is fully and exclusively responsible for all activities conducted through their account.
  • IKEA disclaims any legal liability for any unauthorized use of the member's account or leakage of information due to negligence in maintaining login credentials.
  • It is recommended not to share login information with any third party or access it from untrusted devices.

 

10. Program and Benefit Usage Limits

  • IKEA Family membership or any of its benefits may not be used for commercial purposes, reselling products, or speculating on offers.
  • Membership is for personal and individual purposes only. IKEA reserves the right to take appropriate legal action in the event of proven commercial exploitation or misuse. 

 

11. Activity Auditing and Verification

  • IKEA reserves the right to review and audit any membership account to verify the accuracy of the information provided and the proper use of benefits, at any time and without prior notice.
  • This includes reviewing purchasing patterns, repeated use of offers, and any indications of fraud or abuse. 

 

12. Suspension of Privileges in Case of Suspicion

  • If there is reasonable suspicion of irregular activity or circumvention of the terms, IKEA may temporarily suspend access to benefits or discounts pending the completion of an internal investigation.
  • Membership may be permanently terminated if a confirmed violation is found.

 

13. Limitations of Legal Liability

  • IKEA assumes no liability or responsibility for temporary or permanent interruption of services or benefits resulting from maintenance, force majeure, or technical reasons beyond its control.
  • IKEA also assumes no liability for any direct or indirect losses that may result from using the program outside the regulated limits or in violation of these terms.
  • Cancellation of membership or discontinuation of the program does not entail any compensation obligations from IKEA to the member, whether directly or indirectly.
  • All offers and benefits are marketing in nature and non-contractual and may not be construed as a permanent legal obligation.
  • IKEA assumes no liability for any moral or material damage resulting from a member's delay or failure to take advantage of any program benefits, including, but not limited to, discounts, invitations, or marketing content. 

 

14. Amendments to the Terms

  • IKEA reserves the absolute right to amend or update the Terms and Conditions at any time. The version published on the website is the current and legally binding version.
  • Continued use of the membership after any amendment constitutes express acceptance of such amendments. 

 

15. Law and Jurisdiction

  • These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  • The competent judicial authorities in the Kingdom shall have the exclusive authority to resolve any dispute arising from the application, interpretation, or implementation of these Terms.
