Contents refer to household goods and personal property, tenant's fixtures and fittings within the buildings, excluding items like cash, cheques, negotiable documents, antiques, and jewelry.
7. Which is the best option for me: ‘Contents only’ or ‘Building & Contents’?
Customers who own the house may consider buying ‘Building & Contents’ as it provides comprehensive coverage for various risks threatening the structure of the home or the contents inside. However, those living in a rented properties like flats or villas may opt to buy ‘Contents only.’ In some cases, tenants might have the contractualobligation to buy building insurance as well. It is always recommended that customers purchase ‘Building & Contents’ coverage for their owned or rented house. They can choose an appropriate limit of insurance depending on their actual estimated value of their home.
