How to decorate your dining room walls

It’s no secret that your surroundings do a lot for the experience of a meal. For a dining area, this is true also when there isn’t food on the table. Here, we’ve gathered inspiration and hands-on tips on how to decorate your dining room walls.

The gallery backdrop

Hanging a cluster of framed art on the wall is a trusty way of lighting up your dining area. Express yourself, match the rest of the room – or why not let it be something to start conversations over?

Mirror your meals

Glass and mirrors are an effective way to amplify light and create an airy mood in the room and around your table. Same space, twice the enjoyment.

Create a vertical garden patch

Bring an outdoorsy feel in! Spruce up the space with a lush, impactful FEJKA plant wall. If not a whole wall, do just a section, or give a window a leafy frame. What’s more, artificial plants bring all the green – and need a fraction of the maintenance.

Decoration on every level

Discover the playfulness, functionality and beauty of using display storage around the dining table. Bookcases, shelving, sideboards and cabinets – every surface is fair game for giving the space a decorative touch.

Part practical, part decorative

Wall-oriented storage – wall-mounted shelving, side tables, cabinets, bookcases – can maximise storage capacity and be super accessible without cramping the space. One might even say it’s a thing of beauty.

Try a foreign accent

Give a wall or part of the room a separate theme – it can be a colour, material or a type of coordination that differs from the rest of the space. The contrast creates an attractive effect, and is there to enjoy at your every meal.
