Interior design service reimbursement - Terms & conditions

• These terms and conditions apply to the Reimbursement (the “Reimbursement”) you (also referred to as the customer) may receive when purchasing the Interior Design Service (the “Service”) for your home (excluding Kitchen) by IKEA as available in-store in Oman.
• The Service consists of an initial 1 hour and 30-minute consultation to understand your requirements and preferences. Following on from this, a further 6-7 hours (approximately) is then spent creating detailed project plans, which could include a custom design solution, comprehensive documentation (mood boards, 3D renderings, floor plans, lighting plans, and material proposals), a list of recommended products and services and a measurement service.
• An Initial payment of OMR 49 is required for the Service, thereafter a Minimum Spend (the “Minimum Spend”) amount of OMR 500 is also required in order to receive the Reimbursement of OMR 49.
• Each individual Service shall only be eligible for a single Reimbursement.
• The Reimbursement will be provided to you by way of a Refund Card and additional terms and conditions apply to this Refund Card
• The Service for Oman is specified with the relevant fees as below and this is also the eligibility criteria to qualify for the Reimbursement:
  • Interior Design (ID) Price: OMR 49
  • Minimum Spend for Reimbursement: OMR 500 (excluding the 49)
• The Refund Card must be collected in-store from where the Service was purchased. However, the Refund Card can be used online and in-store. Further, the Minimum Spend can consist of purchases made both in-store and online.
• Evidence of the Minimum Spend and purchase of the Service is required in the form of original receipts/invoices and should be provided to the appropriate member of staff. Without this respective evidence the Reimbursement shall not be processed.
• The Refund Card will expire within 6 months from the date it was issued. 
• The customer should review the product specifications on the IKEA website and/or in-store, and product instructions in order to decide on the suitability of the products for the customer’s intended use. The customer accepts that no additional warranties or consumer rights relating to the product beyond those given in the IKEA terms and conditions of sale shall apply. Any such warranties, express or implied, are hereby fully excluded.
• It cannot be guaranteed that the customer will always find suitable products, or that everything will be available at the time of purchase. Further amendments due to availability or suitability will incur further charges. If a redesign is required, this will also incur further charges.
• Any products mentioned from external suppliers or sole traders suggested to implement the Service are utilised at the customers own discretion and risk and are therefore excluded from the scope of these Terms and Conditions. Any products from external suppliers or sole traders are recommended for the customers own convenience only. IKEA has no control over external suppliers or sole traders and accept no legal responsibility for any products purchased from external suppliers or sole traders. Any reference to any external supplier or sole trader does not mean that IKEA endorses that third party’s website, products or services. The customer’s use of that external suppliers or sole traders website, product or service shall be governed by the terms and conditions of that external supplier or sole trader and is at the customer’s own risk.
• Designers cannot create custom or modified solutions for customers and are limited to suggesting IKEA furniture and products designed for their intended use only.
• IKEA reserves the right to withdraw the Service, the Reimbursement, the Refund Card and/or amend these conditions at any time without notice.
• The Refund Card cannot be used with other ongoing discounts & promotions, including IKEA staff discount. This also excludes any online discounts, promotions and special agreements.
• The Refund Card is not applicable for IKEA Gift card purchase.
• The Refund Card cannot be exchanged for cash or any other tender.The Refund Card cannot be replaced if lost/stolen/damaged and only the original Refund Card will be accepted for redemption.
• Each Refund Card must contain the stamped date when issued to the customer.
• If a full or partial refund/exchange is made against a transaction in which the Refund Card has been issued or redeemed, IKEA reserves the right to accept returns as per the Returns and Exchanges Policy.
• IKEA shall not be held responsible for any misuse of the Refund Card, and you agree to indemnify any claims whatsoever with regards to the use of the Refund Card.
• We reserve the right to revoke the Refund Card if we suspect fraud, unlawful activity or improper use. You agree that you will not use a revoked Refund Card.
• If a full or partial refund/exchange is made against a transaction in which a Refund Card has been issued or redeemed, then IKEA reserves the right to reduce the value of Refund Card in same proportion as per terms and conditions of promotions.
• In order to participate in this Reimbursement, customers will be required to provide their personal contact details. IKEA will be the data controller for such personal data and will use it for the purposes of administering this Reimbursement and to contact participants.IKEA processes the personal data based on a legitimate interest to administrate the Reimbursement and to be able to contact the participants.
• By entering this Reimbursement and providing your personal data to us, each participant confirms that they have understood that their personal data will be processed for the purposes described above.
• The Reimbursement and Refund Card has no implied warranties attached to it.
• The Refund Card and Reimbursement is issued by IKEA, who reserves the right to change the terms & conditions of the Reimbursement and Refund Card at any time or to contract with a third party to administer this program. Any amendment to the terms and conditions shall be deemed to be in force with immediate effect.
• IKEA will not be liable for any loss arising from the postponement, cancellation, delay or changes to the Reimbursement and Refund Card beyond its control or for any act or default of any third-party supplier.
• IKEA’s terms and conditions also apply to this Reimbursement and Refund Card
• By entering into this Reimbursement, all participants will be deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions and all other terms and conditions referred to herein.

Your design may take up to 4 weeks to complete, with timings varying based on the project size and designer availability. After your first consultation, your designer will provide an estimated completion date. Larger projects may have varying completion times, so feel free to share your preferred completion date, and we'll do our best to accommodate. 

The maximum size per room is 20 sqm.

Yes, for our Complete interior design solution, we work with empty rooms from scratch, including lighting, curtains, and accessories.

Absolutely, the interior designer can make significant changes with your existing furniture and provide suggestions for new items or accessories.

No, IKEA is a home furnishing company and does not provide flooring or wall painting services. However, our interior designers can suggest paint codes or floor colors that match the design.

IKEA offers only colored sketch 3D shots, not rendered ones. You have one review opportunity after submitting the first proposal, limited for minor changes in color, material, or placement of furniture.

Yes, meetings can be online, but IKEA prefers the first meeting to be face-to-face. Reviews and quotations can be submitted via Email or WhatsApp, and the purchase process can be completed by visiting the store or through bank transfer.
