Our products are tested well beyond all relevant international standards and we use only top brand components to secure our 10 year guarantee promise.
What is not covered under this guarantee?
- This guarantee does not cover normal wear and tear, cuts or scratches, or damage caused by impacts, accidents or waterborne debris. It also does not apply to the filter/aerator of the mixer tap which should be cleaned regularly or replaced when worn out. Follow our assembly instructions and care instructions carefully.

How long is the guarantee valid?
The guarantee for the BESTÅ storage system remains in force for ten (10) years and is valid from the date of purchase. The original purchase receipt is required as proof of purchase.
How is the product quality secured?
All products and parts in the BESTÅ series are developed and tested according to legal and IKEA product requirements. Additionally, the products are re-tested frequently to meet these standards and to secure the right quality.
What is covered under this guarantee?
All parts in the BESTÅ family are covered by the guarantee (frames, doors and drawer fronts, shelves, top panels, legs, suspension rail, drawers frames and slides, hinges including soft-closing/push-open devices, bottle rack). The guarantee covers defects in materials and workmanship.
What is not covered in this guarantee?
This guarantee does not apply to products that have been stored or installed incorrectly, used inappropriately, abused, misused, altered or cleaned with wrong cleaning methods or cleaning products. This guarantee does not cover normal wear and tear, cuts, scratches or damage caused by impacts or accidents. Which types of modifications to the products are allowed without voiding the guarantee?
Modifications, such as drilling holes to install integrated lighting, will not affect the product guarantee – provided the customer follows the assembly instructions for the lighting. Drilling holes for wall sockets are allowed – provided it is executed in a reasonable and practical manner.
What will IKEA do to correct any problem?
IKEA will examine the product and decide, at its sole discretion, if it is covered under this guarantee. If it is considered covered, IKEA will then either repair the defective product or replace it with the same or a comparable product. If it is covered by this guarantee, IKEA will pay the costs of repairs, spare parts, labour and travel for repair staff that IKEA incur, provided that the product is accessible for repair without special expenditure. This does not apply to any repair work not authorised by IKEA. If the item is no longer sold by IKEA, IKEA will provide an appropriate replacement.
Care instructions
Assemble according to the assembly instructions and secure the correct wallattachment with the correct components. Keep in mind that different wallmaterials require different types of wall fittings. If you are uncertain, contactyour local hardware specialist. Check regularly that all assembly fastenings are properly tightened andretighten when necessary. Tempered glass shall be handled with care! A damaged edge or scratched surface can cause the glass to suddenly crack or break. Avoid bumps from theside – this is where the glass is most vulnerable. Tempered glass is 4-5 times stronger and more resistant to breaking thanregular glass. If it breaks, it shatters into many granular pieces to reduce therisk of injury. Follow the recommendations regarding maximum load on each part of thefurniture. Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Wipe dry with a clean cloth.

What is covered under this guarantee?
The 10-year guarantee is valid for all kitchen mixer taps at IKEA. This guarantee applies to domestic use only and covers defects in material and workmanship in all kitchen mixer taps. Our kitchen mixer taps are tested well beyond all relevant international standards and we use only top brand components to secure our 10 year guarantee promise.
This guarantee does not cover normal wear and tear, cuts or scratches, or damage caused by impacts, accidents or waterborne debris. It also does not apply to the filter/aerator which should be cleaned regularly or replaced when worn out.

How long is the guarantee valid?
The guarantee for IKEA kitchen knives remains in force for fifteen (15) years from the date of purchase. The original purchase receipt is required as proof of purchase.
What is covered under this guarantee?
This guarantee covers function, materials and workmanship in the majority of all IKEA kitchen knives. This means that, for normal domestic use and provided that our care instructions are followed, the knives will retain their functionality, even after 15 years. Normal use is defined as using (for cutting food), cleaning the knife by hand once a day and regular sharpening.The guarantee covers:
- Sharpness of the knife. The knife shall be sharp when you buy it and you will be able to keep it sharp so it can function properly, every day. The knife blade is made of a steel that is hardened so that it is possible to sharpen the knife to original sharpness anytime during the guarantee period.
- Durable handle, including wooden handle. The handle of the knife should not crack, break or come loose from the blade so that the knife is not possible to use.
- No corrosion arising on the knife blade.
Products not covered under this guarantee:
Knives with the product name FÖRDUBBLA, HACKIG, UPPFYLLD, SKALAD and SMÅBIT, as well as knives from cutlery, steak knives and knife sharpeners, are not covered under this guarantee.
What will IKEA do to correct any problem?
IKEA will examine the product and decide, at its sole discretion, if it is covered under this guarantee. If considered covered, IKEA will then, at its sole discretion, replace it with the same or a comparable product.If the item is no longer sold by IKEA, IKEA will provide an appropriate replacement. It is IKEA that determines, at its sole discretion, what constitutes an appropriate replacement.
What is not covered under this guarantee?
This guarantee does not cover non-domestic use. This guarantee does not cover changes in the appearance of the knife unless they have a significant effect on function. This guarantee does not apply to products that have been stored incorrectly, used inappropriately, abused, misused, altered, or cleaned with wrong cleaning methods or cleaning products. This guarantee does not cover normal wear and tear, cuts or scratches, or damage caused by impacts or accidents. IKEA cookware
The guarantee covers:
- Stability of the base. In other words, the base of the cookware remains flat to conduct heat efficiently.
- The construction of the product, no breakages or cracks will happen in the metal parts, handles, etc.
- For pots, pans and woks in stainless steel or stainless steel with metallised coating: washing in a domestic dishwasher. This does not have an adverse effect on the function of stainless-steel cookware. Please refer to the care instructions provided with the product for more details.
- For pots, pans and woks in stainless steel with copper surface, cast iron, enamelled cast iron, enamelled steel, carbon steel or cookware with wooden parts: the guarantee is valid only if you wash your cookware by hand. Please refer to the care instructions provided with the product for more details.
Products not covered under this guarantee:
Pots, pans or woks with a non-stick coating are not part of the guarantee.
What will IKEA do to correct the problem?
IKEA will examine the product and decide, at its sole discretion, if it is covered under this guarantee. The guarantee for IKEA pots, pans and woks without a non-stick coating remains in force for fifteen (15) years from the date of purchase. The original purchase receipt is required as proof of purchase.
What is covered under this guarantee?
This guarantee covers function, materials and workmanship in all IKEA pots, pans and woks without a non-stick coating. This means that, in normal domestic use and provided that our care instructions are followed, they will retain their functionality over time, even after 15 years. Normal use is defined as using an item for cooking and washing it once a day.
How long is the guarantee valid?
This guarantee is valid for five (5) years from the original date of purchase of the IKEA appliance from IKEA. LAGAN and TILLREDA appliances have a two (2) year guarantee, valid from the original date of purchase. The original sales receipt is required as proof of purchase. If service work is carried out under guarantee, this will not extend the guarantee period for the appliance, or for the new parts.
What is covered under this guarantee?
The guarantee covers faults of the appliance, which have been caused by faulty construction or material faults from the date of purchase from IKEA. This guarantee applies to domestic use only. The exceptions are specified under the headline “What is not covered under this guarantee?"
Which appliances are covered under this guarantee?
The free five-year (5) guarantee is valid for all domestic IKEA kitchen appliances and covers defects in materials and workmanship. Which appliances are not covered under this guarantee? For appliances named LAGAN and TILLREDA, a guarantee is valid for two years from the date of purchase.
What will IKEA do to correct the problem?
The designated service company will examine the product and decide, at its sole discretion, if it is covered under this guarantee. If considered covered, the designated service company through its own service operations, will then, at its sole discretion, either repair the defective product or replace it with the same or a comparable product. Within the guarantee period, the costs to remedy the fault e.g. repairs, parts, labor and travel will be covered, provided that the appliance is accessible for repair without special expenditure. Replaced parts become the property of IKEA. The operation is covered if the product is easily accessible for repair. If the product is installed in a not standard built-in solution the customer has to make the product accessible before the service visit. Who will execute the service? The designated service company will provide the service through its own service operations or authorized service partner network.
What is not covered under this guarantee?
- Deliberate or negligent damage, damage caused by failure to observe operating instructions, incorrect installation or by connection to the wrong voltage, damage caused by chemical or electro-chemical reaction, rust, corrosion or water damage including but not limited to damage caused by excessive lime in the water supply, damage caused by abnormal environmental conditions.
- Consumable parts including batteries and lamps.
- Non-functional and decorative parts which do not affect normal use of the appliance, including any scratches and possible color differences.
- Accidental damage caused by foreign objects or substances and cleaning or unblocking of filters, drainage systems or soap drawers.
- Damage to the following parts: ceramic glass, accessories, crockery and cutlery baskets, feed and drainage pipes, seals, lamps and lamp covers, screens, knobs, casings and parts of casings. Unless such damages can be proved to be due to production faults.
- Cases where no fault could be found during a technician’s visit.
- Repairs not carried out by our appointed service providers and/or an authorized service contractual partner or where non-original parts have been used.
- Repairs caused by installation which is faulty or not according to specification.
- The use of the appliance in a non-domestic environment i.e. professional use.
- Transportation damages. If a customer transports the product to their home or other address, IKEA is not liable for any damage that may occur during transport. However, in case of IKEA delivery of the product to the customer’s delivery address, then eventual damages to the product that occurs during this delivery will be covered by IKEA, (but not under this guarantee).
