Easy ideas for throwing a party in a small space

Living in a smaller space is no excuse not to throw a good party for family and friends. Serving a buffet, combining mingling and free seating, and putting every surface to good use – your table, some stackable stools, a trolley and even your bed – go a long way creating a fun and memorable celebration.

A buffet table set for success

Setting a buffet table is a convenient way to offer your guests all the goodies you want. Varying the height and mixing different dishes and bowls add dimension that makes things more appealing to the eye. It’s also smart to serve ready-made portions in handy, creative ways – easy to enjoy while socialising.

There’s always room for a trolley

A trolley is a great party multitool. Use it to extend the buffet table or roll it out so that crisps and other snacks always are easy to reach. It’s also handy for tidying away empty dishes and glasses as the party goes on.

From bed to picnic blanket

Throwing a bedspread on your bed turns it into an indoor picnic blanket where your guests can relax and enjoy themselves. A serving tray on the bed and a stool as a side table help them get even more comfortable. After all, you need somewhere to put your drinks and nibbles.
