Splinter and small pieces of wood coming off and IKEA claimed is normalNishaThis chopping board has splinters coming off every time I rub or wipe it. IKEA said it is not a quality problem and that it is just the nature of the wood. They suggested rubbing oil on it. But for a chopping board, applying certain oils can make your food smell and taste off. Very disappointed.
