It means I can prep food right next to the sink and sweep everything straight in, almost like having an undermount sink. I do however wish that it had been mentioned that the boards needed to be treated before use as by the time I bought the tung oil, it increased the purchase by another $33.00 However I would still have bought them, just would have liked to have known.5
