Noisy! MiriamHave just used my pan on induction hob. When I turned the heat on, it wouldn’t stop screeching. Cooks ok, but the noise is unbearable. Moved it all over the hob - not much difference. Won’t buy another one :-( 2

What is sol-gel ceramic non-stick coating?

Sol-gel non-stick is often called ceramic coating and is an increasingly common replacement for other non-stick coatings in frying pans. It comprises mostly of silica and is created by applying a gel-like solution to the product and drying it in an oven. The result is a hard, glossy surface with non-stick properties. Sol-gel can be produced in different colours, it withstands high heat, is easy to use and clean – and allows cooking with little or no fat.
