Complaint & Quality Issue – GULLABERG Shoe CabinetJasonDear IKEA Team,
I am writing to log a complaint regarding my new GULLABERG shoe cabinet. I followed the assembly instructions precisely, but the product has significant functional defects:
The top two small drawers stick badly and do not open or close smoothly.
The bottom large shoe compartment cannot close properly. I had to perform DIY fixes just to get it shut, though the upper large drawer works fine.
Given the price, this level of quality is completely unacceptable. As an assembled unit with defective drawer mechanisms, I request a prompt resolution—either replacement parts, an exchange, or a partial refund. Regards Jason

European design for the win!NadjaAs expected from IKEA, everything comes together perfectly, nothing is askew, opens and closes with no issues. Fits perfectly (just) over the skirting boards in our 100+years old cottage. I replaced the factory knobs with brushed bronze ones, elevating it to the next level! Since I left Europe, I really missed this kind of shoe strorage, glad to finally have it available in NZ! I have to push the back bits of my size 9 (women's) sneakers down a little in the upper part of the compartment to close it, but have small heels with no issues in the bottom part. Depending on your needs, you can also arrange them sideways - still much better and tidier than any other option! Handy little hooks for handbags or such to keep the entrance uncluttered.

Easy Peasy - 98% of the time.KendraThis was our very first IKEA purchase and I was wondering how my husband and I would get on creating this item.
I was determined to check that all the relevant pieces were accounted for and all steps were followed.
Hubby grabbed his scewdriver and away we went.
We were both pleasantly surprised how well it all went together, without us arguing!!!
The pictures in the instructions very clearly showed you what to do (without words) but I do wish the font size for part numbers was a little larger.
Attention to detail is needed, otherwise you could end up using the wrong screws.
I actually enjoyed the experience.
I now want my own toolkit. 😀

It looks professionally made and we are both impressed by the quality. We were able to store away TWELVE pairs of my husband's shoes!!

Love itKarynIt is a nice looking pieces of furniture that you can hide your shoes in. Love the little drawers and hooks on the side. It is nice and narrow so fits well in my hallway by the front door.
