How do I return a product?
Not quite what you expected? No worries! You have 365 days to return your purchase for a full refund, provided it’s in unused and resalable condition.
Your satisfaction with your IKEA purchase is our priority.
If you’re not completely happy or simply change your mind, you can return your products within 365 days. We’ll provide a full refund for items returned with proof of purchase during this period.
Please note that you can only return IKEA products that you have bought here in New Zealand to our Auckland store.

The original receipt of proof of purchase is required for returns.
You have two options for returning your product:
- In-Store Return: Visit the Exchanges and Returns counter located near the exit after the checkouts with your product and proof of purchase. For a quicker process, use IKEA express returns. If you have fewer than 10 items to return, fill out the online form and follow the instructions provided here.
- Pick-Up Service: If you prefer, we can arrange to pick up your item. This service incurs a fee equivalent to the delivery fee for your area, and your item must be disassembled. Check your delivery fee here.
