IKEA for business: Deglava Gleznotāju rezidence

A new residential development has been created in the Pļavnieki neighbourhood – Deglava Gleznotāju rezidence, designed as a modern multi-apartment housing complex. The project is being implemented in several phases. At present, four buildings have been completed, each containing more than 70 apartments, while the fifth building is still under construction. As a result, the development continues to grow and expand gradually.Deglava Gleznotāju residence has been designed as a development aimed at a broad range of residents, offering a balance between a contemporary living environment, functional solutions, and reasonable costs. This balance makes the project accessible to middle-income households for whom quality of life and a sustainable urban lifestyle are important.

About the project

The interior is dominated by calm, neutral earth tones complemented by green accents, creating a balanced and soothing ambience. The space conveys a sense of harmony and lightness – as though you are in the city, yet somehow removed from its bustle at the same time.

To enhance the feeling of a lived-in and authentic home, the apartment has been carefully styled with everyday details – a laid table, neatly made beds, and thoughtfully arranged interior objects. The intention was to create the impression that the owner had only stepped out for a moment. Additional cosiness is provided by full-width curtains throughout the apartment, softening contrasts and increasing the sense of privacy.

Bright and contemporary living room with soft neutral furnishings, deep green curtains, warm wooden accents, and large windows that create a calm and inviting atmosphere filled with natural light.
Modern dining area with minimalist furnishings, soft natural tones, elegant lighting, and open-plan connectivity that enhances the sense of space and comfort within the apartment interior.

Wooden details and furnishings have been used throughout the apartment, serving as a unifying element that brings natural warmth, authenticity, and a timeless sense of calm into the space. The interior has been designed as a harmonious environment for everyday living – simple, peaceful, and genuinely comforting.

Enough space for everything

The living area is combined with the kitchen and dining area, creating a unified space that has been thoughtfully divided into functional zones. This layout preserves the sense of openness and togetherness characteristic of open-plan living, while still clearly distinguishing the different areas for everyday use.

In addition to the main living space, the apartment features two bedrooms. One of them has been designed as a multifunctional room combining the functions of a bedroom and a home office. This solution allows the space to be used both for everyday work and as a guest bedroom or a teenager’s room, adapting to changing living situations and needs.
