How to get it
Old-world charm for today's busy hallways. Easy storage for your outdoor wear makes life on the go a little easier. The simple, classical design also looks great with other furniture in the NIPÅSEN series.
Product details
The hooks on top take care of your longer coats or hats, and the crown also doubles as a great place to put lightweight but bulky items like helmets.
The lower row of hooks is easy to reach for children so they can hang their clothes. It´s also suitable for both school bags and handbags.
With this free-standing hat/coat stand, you don't have to drill any holes in the wall to easily hang jackets, coats and backpacks – and it's simple to move
Powder-coated steel has a timeless finish and is a durable material for storing outdoor clothes and accessories that are sometimes covered with dirt or moisture.
Thanks to a new and patented construction of locking the pieces together, the stand is assembled with only 6 screws.

Accessories for NIPÅSEN

Organise your hallway with a few clicks
With NIPÅSEN hat and coat stand, you can quickly and easily organise your jackets, coats, and other things in the hallway. What makes it stand out from all our previous coat racks is that even assembling it is easy as pie.
”The package you bring home from the store is only 60 centimetres long”, says Muthu Sankaran, one of our engineers from the team that created NIPÅSEN. Muthu takes out all the parts from the packaging and shows how you can click them together into a stable 180-centimetre coat rack in just a few minutes. The hooks are at two different heights, so even the youngest can help tidy up.
Stronger construction with dowels
The quick assembly is possible because we minimised the number of screws. Muthu and the team aimed to find a faster and simpler way to join the parts and tested different ideas, some originating from classic craft techniques. “The solution was a metal dowel that clicks into a hole and slides into place. After refining the idea, we discovered that this way of joining two parts also makes the construction stronger compared to using screws. And the assembly becomes completely invisible from the outside”, says Muthu, stroking the smooth metal surface.
Fewer screws and easier assembly
Our team wasn’t able to completely eliminate screws this time. To mount the hat and coat stand’s base, you still have to get the screwdriver. But the good news is that there are only a few screws to keep track of. And Muthu is convinced that the metal dowels are here to stay. “Now, we want to continue reducing the number of screws, making many more products easier to pack and simpler for you to assemble.”
Designer thoughts
Designer thoughts
“Hallways may look different across the world, but the need for somewhere to unload your things when you get home is universal. When I designed NIPÅSEN, I wanted to create open and easily accessible storage where everyone in the family can find a hook or a shelf, transforming the returning home activity into a seamless and organised ritual. There is room here for everything from jackets and grocery or gym bags to shoes, keys and dog leashes."
