What layouts are available when I want a METOD kitchen?

METOD kitchens are designed to fit into a variety of spaces and lifestyles. You are free to choose the perfect layout for your home.

First, think about how you use the kitchen and what kind of arrangement you feel comfortable with.
Write down what you like and want to change in your current kitchen, including the kitchen and kitchen storage, refrigerators and cooking appliances.
Making a list of "things you want to keep" and "things you want to improve" will be helpful when choosing a layout.
In the following guide, we'll show you a typical layout.
If space is limited, consider the layout from the top of the list, and if you have more space, consider the layout at the bottom.
  • I-shaped kitchen with wall
It's a simple layout that's perfect for when space is limited.
It looks neat and simplifies cleaning and flow.
In this layout, cabinets and appliances are placed in a straight line on one wall.
  • Type II kitchen (parallel kitchen)
This layout is recommended for long and narrow spaces with doors and windows at both ends.
It features sufficient working space and storage on the left and right.
The kitchen is often divided into two opposite walls,
A layout with a sink on one side and a stove on the other.
A typical layout is to have a kitchen on one side and kitchen storage on the other.
  • L-shaped kitchen
It is suitable for layouts that take advantage of corners and want to make effective use of limited space.
The two walls meet at right angles at the corners, and the worktops are connected across the corners.
This style often involves placing a sink on one wall and a stove on the other.
  • U-shaped kitchen
This layout is ideal for large kitchen spaces.
It is easy to secure maximum workspace and storage capacity, and is suitable for families who want to work with multiple people.
The kitchen is placed on three walls, and the worktops are connected by two corners.
The layout makes it easy to arrange cooking, washing, and storage areas in a well-balanced manner.
  • Kitchen Island
This layout adds an island (separate countertop) to the kitchen.
Not only does it provide more storage and work space, but it also serves as a "gathering place" to spend time with family and guests.
The island can be combined with any of the above layouts, and in some cases the kitchen body and the island can be installed separately in separate rooms next to each other.
As a guideline for determining whether an island can be placed, check whether there is a minimum passage width of 120 cm between the island and the wall cabinet.
