Hemma — meaning “at home” in Swedish — is a unique dining experience set inside the private home of two-star chef Noboru Arai.

This is not a formal restaurant and not a grand multi-course performance. Instead, you’ll experience the genuine home cooking Chef Arai prepares daily for himself and his family. Simple, thoughtful, and full of care.

With just a little creativity and smart IKEA solutions, any home can become the best restaurant in town. Filled with more warmth and happiness than you ever imagined.

MICHELIN Guide Tokyo 2026 Two MICHELIN Stars「HOMMAGE」Noboru Arai

After graduating from culinary school in 1990, Noboru Arai moved to France in 1998 at age 24. He mastered French culinary philosophy and tradition at renowned restaurants, including Le Clos des Cimes. In 2000, he returned to his roots in Asakusa to open HOMMAGE, his cuisine is a pursuit of high originality, blending classical French foundations with a contemporary, personal touch.
