Product details

This sensor checks the air quality by monitoring harmful particles (PM2.5), temperature, relative humidity and total Volatile Organic Compounds (tVOC) in your home.

Place it in the living room, bedroom or other rooms where you spend a lot of time. With its small size, you can easily move it from room to room so you can rest assured that the air quality is good.

Upgrade your STARKVIND air purifier(s) by adding this sensor that offers more precise air quality measurements and can be placed in a central location in the room, away from the purifier.

By keeping an eye on things as harmful particles, temperature, humidity and volatile organic compounds you can affect the air quality at home and also help prevent for example mold and mildew growth.

The arrow shows if the level of tVOC is increasing, decreasing or is stable. tVOC stands for total volatile organic compounds from, for example, paint, cooking or cleaning and household products.

By connecting this product to DIRIGERA hub, you can see the air quality in the IKEA Home smart app. We make continuous updates so that the sensor and the app only get better and better over time.

With a smart home from IKEA, it's easy to create smarter everyday moments with lighting, speakers, blinds and air quality products.

Good to know

Activities in the home like cooking and using an open fireplace and sprays can release harmful PM2.5 particles. They can also seep in from polluted outdoor air.

PM2.5 are small inhalable particles, that measure 0.1-2.5 micrometres.

This product is part of our smart home range. Connect it, along with other smart products, to DIRIGERA hub and IKEA Home smart app for more features and functions, that you can control from anywhere, not just when you're at home.

This smart product cannot be connected to a TRÅDFRI gateway.

USB power adapter sold separately.

works as described, but some details could be betterDavidThis product works exactly as described. A couple of things would be nice however: 1. Include in the documentation a description of the way to put it into Zigbee pairing mode (it's not just pressing the pair button; you have to reset the device). 2. Reporting of the VOC data through Zigbee. There's no straightforward way to do this, although there is a complicated way to do it via Home Assistant.4
Nice but.....DavidDoesn't work with the old Tradfri smart home hub, only the new one. So become just a Standalone sensor... not why I bought it! And therefore can't use to control my ikea table air filter. Product says works with Smart Home, but only NEW one. There are cheaper Standalone sensors. Why not integrate in to old hub? It's just a sensor. Presume this is now the IKEA way on all new products. Tough if you bought and supported IKEA with their first hub for the smart home, not that smart now! Thanks IKEA.2
