You will need 1 STOPP FILT rug underlay with anti-slip (165x235 cm) for this rug. Trim if necessary.

To get the edge of your rug to lie flat without curling up, fold the edge in the opposite direction and place a heavy object on top for 2 days.

The rug is machine-woven.

This rug fits with a 2-seat sofa, but can also fit other size sofas depending on how you place it.

This rug fits under a 4-seat dining table, but can of course be used how and where you like in your home.

Do not bleach.

Do not tumble dry.

Do not iron.

Do not dryclean.

Vacuum and rotate the rug regularly.

Dry spots; remove immediately by scraping carefully towards the middle of the spot.

Wet spots; do not rub. Absorb with paper towels, damp with cloth and mild detergent.

Professional carpet cleaning when needed.

Disgusting smellValerieI recently bought 4 lohals rugs, 2 large and 2 medium The large have a light smell which is tolerable but the medium smells of mould and damp. I have the medium in a room when you open the door it's disgusting, it's a bedroom and no one wants to sleep in it. I have being purchasing Lohals for years and have them all over the house. Ikea you changed the manufacturer from India to Bangladesh, colour isn't the same and lots of knots in both sizes. I'm so disappointed with the quality and I defo won't be purchasing again and wouldn't recommend purchase. But saying that the old purchases manufactured in India i wouldn't be without.1

Material

What is jute?

Jute is a very hardwearing fibre that is found in the stem of the jute plant. It’s an easy-to-grow plant that requires very little fertiliser, pesticides or water and is ready to harvest after only 120 days. The jute fibre is often used for ropes and sacks but is also known for its silky-smooth lustre and can be spun into finer threads which are then woven. In our range we often use woven jute for items like curtains, rugs and furniture.
