Product details

Protects the mattress from accidents and spills – and keeps your child's bed hygienic, clean and dry.

Your mattress stays dry because a waterproof layer prevents any liquid from passing through.

The soft, thin and ventilating mesh is made of 100% polyester ‒ a durable material which is tested, approved and free from harmful substances and additives.

A good choice if you are allergic to dust mites since the protector is machine-washable at 60°C, a temperature that kills dust mites.

Elastic ribbon in each corner to keep the mattress protector in place.

Quick to remove, easy to wash.

Reviews

Sizing was off.... probably my fault? GwenBought 2 of these for my toddlers single beds. When looking around in the kids section I noticed the cot sized ones and then the next size up was these. I bought two as I have 2 single beds for my toddlers and I wanted to protect the mattresses from any spills or accidents. Unfortunately when we got home they did not fir the single beds. I didn't realize that the next size up from a cot was a toddler bed and that was what I had purchased. I understand IKEA have universal sizes in measurements where as I feel in Ireland we are used to cot, toddler, single, double etc. My fault for not checking if they had another size up, perhaps an option to have a notice available with conversions would be handy for. Another option would be to have a note saying also available in sizes x y z. Not everyone is going to recognize the sizes by looking at it. Will return the unopened one and get the bigger ones next time I am in the area. 2

Material

What is polyester?

Polyester is a durable, quick-drying and insulating material that is optimal to use for textiles and as filling in pillows, quilts and furniture. The material is made from crude oil – a limited resource. Since IKEA doesn’t want to contribute to more virgin oil being used, we are now gradually switching to recycled and traceable polyester from sources like PET bottles. What’s nice is that polyester can be recycled over and over, without changing or losing its great qualities.

Function solution

Sleep is important!

Children need sleep so that the brain and body can grow and recover. That’s why the best thing you can do for your child is to create the conditions for good and comfortable sleeping habits. A quiet and cosy room with a good bed, a mattress that relieves pressure and soft, airy bedlinens is a good start. Maybe even a roller blind to block out sound and light. A good investment that helps you and your child sleep well.
