Top Questions

  • How do I check stock availability?

You can check stock availability on each product’s page by selecting the store you plan to visit. If the product is not available, you can leave a mobile number or email address and we will notify you as and when more stock arrives.

If you wish to check stock availability at a particular store, you can now ask BILLIE, our Virtual Assistant via the Contact us page.

If you are placing an online order, simply add your chosen items to your shopping bag and enter your postcode to calculate the delivery date and cost. If any articles are not available for online purchase, you will be notified at this stage.

  • Can I return items?

Yes, we will be happy to give you a full refund by the same method as your original payment for products that are returned with proof of purchase in new, unused and re-saleable condition and with the packaging.

If the item(s) you are returning were purchased online and have a total weight of less than 10kg and can fit in a parcel of 60x50x50cm or less, it should be returned for free using Yodel.

You can return at your convenience to over 7,000 locations. Your refund will be processed once the item(s) have been received by IKEA.

The Yodel service is only available for purchases made online. For the return of articles purchased in store, please visit your local store along with your receipt and the item(s) you wish to return. We are unable to offer exchanges under the Parcel Return service. Should you require an exchange, please visit your local store along with your order number and the article(s) you wish to exchange.

We have several different ways you can return products to us. For full details please view our Return policy.

  • Do you deliver?

Yes, we deliver. You can either place your order directly in the store at the home delivery desk, or you may purchase online to have products delivered directly to you in a few days.

If you arrange our delivery service in store, the delivery will normally take place the following day.

For online deliveries, there are two delivery methods. We aim to deliver your order within 14 days, depending on stock availability and where you live.

Smaller deliveries are fulfilled by DPD Monday-Sunday* at a cost of £3.95 or £9.95 depending on the size of your order.

Larger deliveries are fulfilled by our approved suppliers Monday-Sunday depending on your postcode, at a cost of £39. This is for larger orders or any product that we deem unsuitable for smaller delivery.

*Except Northern Ireland and the Scottish Highlands which are Monday-Friday only.

  • Can I track my delivery?

Your order confirmation will confirm the type of delivery you are expecting. You can track your order in the following ways:

Smaller delivery: DPD will contact you, usually the day before delivery, with information on how to track your order. Please note, we are unable to view any additional information from what is shown on the DPD tracking site.

Larger delivery: You should receive a text message on the morning of your delivery which will include a tracking link to our live map site where you can follow the progress of our delivery team.

If you have purchased online you will be able to use our order tracker to check the latest status of your order. You will need your order number, postcode and the email address you gave when the order was placed.

  • Are dogs allowed in IKEA stores?

Registered service dogs, such as guide dogs and hearing assistance dogs, are always welcome!

We ask you to leave your furry friends at home, as we are unable to allow them into the store. Unless, of course, they are registered service dogs, such as guide dogs and hearing assistance dogs, or registered emotional support dogs, who are all always welcome!
