Delivery Options

How quickly you receive your purchase depends on the size of the order, the delivery address, demand, and product availability. During online payment or booking at an IKEA store, available delivery options, estimated delivery times, and prices will be displayed. You can then decide what best suits you and your needs.

Prices and details of delivery options

Parcel delivery

Delivery time: from 2 business days

• Minimum order value for all parcel deliveries: €10
• The parcel delivery option and price will appear automatically during the ordering process as long as the weight and dimensions are met.
• Please note that some items are not suitable for parcel delivery and can only be delivered by truck. 

Curbside delivery

Our service partner delivers to the curb outside the building or as close to your address as vehicle access permits. You transport the delivered goods to their final destination.

*The costs of curbside delivery are calculated according to the following weight restrictions and dimensions:​

Maximum total weight per order: 100 kg and max. 1.0 m³​

Additionally, per item/package:

• max. 31.5 kg
• max. 0.3 m³
• max. 200 cm length ​

The limits apply simultaneously and are not mutually exclusive.​

The curbside delivery option and price will automatically appear during the ordering process if the weight and dimensions meet the requirements.

For reduced goods and items from the Second Chance Market, the delivery price will be calculated based on the original value of the goods, plus a packaging flat fee.

Delivery to a room of your choice

Delivery to a room of your choice.

Delivery time: from 3 business days

• For island delivery**, we charge a flat fee of €220 per order and takes place up to the curb.
• The agreed delivery date for island deliveries is the day of delivery to the island forwarder.
• The standard delivery option and price will appear automatically during the ordering process when you order more than will fit into a parcel.
• You choose a delivery date in three days at the earliest and a time slot from 7 AM to 2 PM or 2 PM to 9 PM.

Express delivery to a room of your choice

• The express delivery option and price will appear automatically during the order process as long as express delivery is available for your order.
• Your express delivery will be delivered on the same day or the next working day by truck

How to use this service

1. Whether you’re shopping online or at an IKEA store: You can choose your dream furniture without worrying about getting it home. We’ll take care of it.

2. Our co-workers at the IKEA store are happy to help. Delivery options will be displayed in your shopping bag after you enter your postcode if you’re ordering online at IKEA.de.

3. You can then relax while we prepare your delivery. You can always track your order in your online profile or right here online.

4. We'll e-mail you again to tell you when we'll be delivering. If you're expecting your order by truck, our service partner will also contact you by phone around an hour before delivery on the day of delivery.
5. Remember to be there in person to take your delivery and sign for receipt of the undamaged and complete order.

Good to know

• Your order can be split into several deliveries. We’ll then ship and deliver your individual purchases separately. More detailed information will be available in your order confirmation, online profile or right here.
• You can track and manage your order from the store or online in your online profile or here.
• We'll keep you informed on your order status by e-mail and/ or text message.
• Sorry, we cannot provide a tighter time slot booking for truck deliveries. We'll send you the estimated delivery time on the day of delivery, and our service partner will also contact you by phone around an hour before delivery.
• The truck driver will need enough parking space at the place of delivery. We usually deliver in 7.5-tonne trucks. This is roughly equivalent to three car parking spaces or a fifteen-metre parking space.
• Make sure the delivery will fit through all the doors, hallways, stairwells, and elevators in your home or building. Check the respective product information pages under “Dimensions” and “Packaging” for dimensions.
• Potted plants and food/drinks can only be purchased at the IKEA store and cannot be delivered. Seasonal products and special collections may not be available for delivery.
