IKEA claims

We’ve gathered everything you need to know on how to file a claim with us here. You might want to return or exchange an IKEA item under guarantee because you received it damaged, one of the items was missing from delivery, or because there was an issue with one of our services.

How to file a claim

Please have your purchase documents ready.

If you bought something locally in an IKEA store, this is the receipt; if you ordered something (delivery or Click & Collect), this is the order number. ​

Are you an IKEA Family member? Then you don't have to search! You'll find all the information and receipts for your IKEA purchases in your profile. Simply log in.​

At an IKEA store

Convenient and quick solution directly on site. Please bring your purchase documents and the product or defective item with you. ​

So that you don't have to wait long, you can make an appointment in advance, come to the store at the appropriate time, check in and it's your turn. No waiting at all.​

Online

You can easily report damaged products in your delivery online.​

To do this, call up your order or select it from your purchases within your IKEA Family profile.​

In all other cases, please contact us.​

 

Free parcel return

Can't get to the IKEA store?

Then you can send smaller IKEA items back to us free of charge by post. 

We will refund the purchase price. 

To do this, call up your order or select it from your purchases withing your IKEA Family profile.

Electrical appliances

We work together with a variety of external manufacturers and service partners on developing our range of electrical appliances and repairing them when needed.

Contact our service partner directly if you need your electrical appliance fixed.

You’ll find the corresponding service partner in the operating instructions for your appliance, or you can find it online.

Please note that the form to find your service partner is only available in German language.

Taskrabbit​

IKEA works together with TaskRabbit, a network of independent “Taskers” to help you with assembly. You can even order TaskRabbit on the same day as your online or IKEA store purchase.

Contact TaskRabbit customer service if you have any enquiries or claims about their services.

Please note that booking an appointment can only be done in German language.
