What can I do if my product smells unpleasant?

Carpets, mattresses and upholstered furniture are often shrink-wrapped for protection. When these airtight packages are opened, the products sometimes have an odor that some people find unpleasant, but which usually dissipates within a short time.
As a rule, odors are not expected to have any health effects.
As part of our right of return, you can return the goods to any IKEA store at any time if you are not satisfied with them on presentation of the original proof of purchase.
It may happen that you are only offered a forwarding agent delivery for a product that is suitable for parcel delivery. In this case, your product is currently not in stock in the parcel warehouse.
