What do I need to consider when connecting IKEA appliances in a new kitchen installation?

You’ll need to remember a few things to make sure our fitters will be able to fit your new kitchen smoothly.

We’ll only connect your new IKEA appliance to existing sockets and connections at your home. They’ll need to be in perfect working order and freely accessible. Make sure your IKEA appliance is placed with all the hoses, cables and so on fitted to the appliance within reach of the connections intended for them.

Lighting and extractor hood connections can be extended.

You’ll need to hire a separate specialist installation company to connect a gas or high-voltage electrical appliance fused at more than 16A. Your local gas and electricity supplier will be happy to provide you with specialist companies in your area.

Our technician will provide and install a splitter box if necessary for an additional charge of €79 to be paid in cash.

We cannot connect appliances to the electrical and/or water supply with sockets/switches located right behind the sink or cooktop as this would be a potentially lethal safety hazard.

Remember for your own safety that any deviations will result in devices not being connected.
