How does the IKEA assembly service work?

How to book the service:

1. Shop IKEA products
   Buy your IKEA products online or in a store.
2. Select assembly service
   You can book the TaskRabbit assembly service directly with your purchase.
   (Note: Not all products are available for assembly service. You can find out whether assembly is possible from our IKEA staff or – if you buy online – directly in the shopping cart for the respective product.)
3. Create account
   Sign up for Taskrabbit to ensure you have all the task details and additional information for your task.
4. Appointment
   After booking, you will receive a confirmation email from TaskRabbit with a proposed appointment time.
   Confirm the appointment by entering your payment details with TaskRabbit within 24 hours.
   Only then is the booking completed.
   If the proposed time does not suit you, you can easily adjust the appointment on TaskRabbit.de.
   Appointments are scheduled based on Tasker availability—typically 2–3 days after you receive your goods.
   The Tasker will contact you via chat to discuss all details of your appointment. You will also receive a reminder 24 hours before your scheduled assembly service.
5. Payment
   The credit or debit card saved with TaskRabbit will be automatically charged within 24 hours after the Tasker has submitted their invoice.
6. Providing furniture
   Transport your furniture home yourself or use our delivery service.
   Please leave the furniture in the packaging, but place them already in the place where they are to be mounted.
   The removal of packaging materials is not included in the service.
7. Installation by the Tasker
   On the agreed date, the Tasker will come to your home and do the booked work.
   Payment is made directly to TaskRabbit once the assembly is complete.
8. Have more furniture assembled
   You can add additional rigs at any time via Taskrabbit.de book.

Here's how it works:

1. Choosing and planning bathroom furniture
   Be inspired by our bathroom furniture and start the Planning your bathroom.
   When your planning is complete, arrange a Free expert check.
2. Planning & Organization
   We support you in planning your new bathroom furniture and organise delivery, installation and, if desired, dismantling and disposal.
3. Sceduling
   Once the assembly appointment has been arranged, our service partner will contact you approximately 24 hours before the scheduled date to provide you with a more precise arrival time.
4. Prepare room
   Remove anything that isn't necessary and do any preparatory work if necessary, such as
   Repairs, painting or ground adjustments.
   If you have booked a dismantling, please empty all cupboards and ensure free access.
5. Installation by professionals
   You relax – while our service partners take over the work.
6. Conclusion
   After installation, our service partner takes the packaging with them and leaves the room swept clean.
   Please keep assembly instructions, manuals and spare parts.
7. Enjoy
   Now you can enjoy your new bathroom in peace.

Good to know:

• For bathroom furniture assembly only (without installation of sink, faucet, water connection, or siphon), please use our furniture assembly service via Taskrabbit.
• Before attaching the furniture to the wall, we will check for utility lines and determine if the wall is suitable for mounting.
• If your newly purchased furniture is delivered by freight carrier, we will dismantle and dispose of your existing sink and vanity unit.
• Dismantling and disposal of the existing sink and vanity unit is only possible in conjunction with freight delivery and assembly. Please indicate when placing your order whether you require dismantling and disposal.
