Second Life Buyback service

Are you looking to furnish your home but don’t know what to do with your old furniture? If your used IKEA product is still in good condition, why not make someone else happy with it?

At IKEA, you can now return used IKEA products that are in good condition and, depending on their condition, receive an IKEA gift card in return. The products must be in good condition, complete, clean, unaltered, odour-free, and properly assembled. We will then give your IKEA product a second life by reselling it in our Second Life Shop. Please note that the current range of products eligible for return may change.

Second Life Buyback service: Receive your non-binding offer

How it works

1.Calculate the estimated buyback value of your IKEA products

Check whether your items are eligible for the Second Life buyback service and provide the details and a description of the condition of your IKEA product to receive a quote.

2. You will receive your Buyback quote by email

You will receive your quote by email, including the quote number and your estimated buy-back value.

3. Return your IKEA products

Your offer is valid for three weeks from the date of receipt. Take your assembled products and your offer to your nearest IKEA store.

4. Assessment and final offer

In the returns and exchanges area, an IKEA employee will check the condition of your IKEA products. A final offer will be made, which may differ from your initial, non-binding offer.

5. You will receive an IKEA gift card

You will receive a gift card worth the value of your final bid, which you can redeem at any time online or in-store.

6. Your IKEA products get a second life

All returned products undergo a quality check and are resold in the Second Life Shop.
