A warm and genuine scent of leather and wood.

Suitable when you want to create a comforting atmosphere at home with inspiration from old-fashioned libraries.

The ceramic container is inspired by traditional Chinese artisanal methods and materials with a surface that resembles leather.

When the candle has burnt itself out you can use the ceramic jar to store small things.

At least 50% of the wax in this product is plant-based wax.

    You easily remove hardened wax by washing the surface with warm water.

Material

What is plant-based wax?

All candles in our range are good at creating a cosy atmosphere and we choose various materials so that we always end up with the best shape, function and quality. Plant-based wax is well-suited for tealights or other candles in holders. The plant-based wax is made from raw materials like rapeseed oil, soybean oil and shea oil – and is a natural result of our decision that all materials we use in our candles will be renewable or recycled at the latest by 2030.

"When designing the SILKESTRÄD series, I was inspired by traditional Chinese artisanal methods and materials. The metal tealight holder has a punched-out pattern that forms graceful shapes of light and darkness on the wall when lit – and brings shadow puppets to mind. For the scented candles, I chose typical Chinese scents and made ceramic containers with a surface resembling bamboo paper and leather. To me, this is contemporary design, with a traditional artisanal soul."
