Do I need to be at home to control my smart home?

Yes. The IKEA Home smart app connects with DIRIGERA hub and your smart products when you are using the same Wi-Fi.

However, in the app you can set up Scenes where you choose which of your smart products should be turned on or off at a specific time. This is a perfect way to, for example, schedule lights to be turned on just before you come home at night or to set a timer for the roller blinds to temporarily roll down at midday to block out the sun.
