What types and colours of kitchen countertops are there?

We have numerous countertop options to suit your needs in different materials and colors. Worktops are available at IKEA in both pre-made sizes and custom-made for your kitchen.

Custom-made kitchen countertops

Get a custom-made countertop that fits perfectly into your kitchen – down to the last millimetre. Would you like to combine your custom-made worktop with a matching wall strip or wall panel?   • Materials: laminate, wood veneer and quartz composites
  • Length: between 15 and 400 cm (depending on the material chosen)
  • Depth: between 30 and 140 cm (depending on the material chosen)
  • Thickness: 20, 28 or 38 mm (depending on the material chosen)
  • Colours: over 50 different colours, including matte, high gloss, stone effect and wood veneer.

Pre-cut kitchen countertops

If you need a countertop at a great price and don't mind adjusting the size of your countertop to fit your kitchen yourself, a prefabricated kitchen countertop is an excellent choice. You get the same high quality as a custom-made worktop at a lower price.
  • Materials: laminate and wood veneer
  • Length: 186 and 246 cm
  • Depth: 63.5 cm
  • Thickness: 2.8 or 3.8 mm
  • Colours: White, beige, grey, black and several stone and wood effects, including real wood veneer.
