But how many people can actually eat together at one table without your elbows ending up in the neighbour's soup?
Round dining table with a diameter of 60-79 cm
A small round dining table with a diameter of approx. 70 cm can seat two people on average. If only drinks are on the menu and everyone present likes to cosy up, there is still room for several people even with a small diameter.
Round dining table with a diameter of 80-99 cm
A round table with a diameter of 80 cm or more can easily accommodate four chairs. The same applies here: if you save space, you can also accommodate the unexpected +1. However, the table is still compact enough for a romantic dinner for two.
Round dining table with a diameter of 100-119 cm
The classic round dining tables from IKEA usually have a diameter of over 100 cm. Here, too, we recommend the basic configuration with four chairs, although there is also space for a mezze table with at least six starters on these variants.
Round dining tables with a diameter of 120+
If you prefer large chairs or have a large family, you should opt for a round dining table with a diameter of at least 120 cm. This can seat up to six people. Many of our round tables are also extendable - so round becomes oval and four people can quickly become one or two more.
