Sleep gently on a sheet from IKEA

Sheets are more important than you think. Sheets are in direct contact with your skin - every night. As we spend almost a third of our lives in bed, sheets should be soft and comfortable. For a cosy feeling on your skin, we offer sheets and fitted sheets in different qualities: From soft, breathable cotton to silky Lyocell for a relaxing sleeping environment. And with our 100% organic cotton sheets, you'll not only lie softly, but can also dream with a clear conscience.

Cast off! One sheet, many materials

Our sheets are available in different materials. Because there is a material for everyone on which he or she sleeps particularly restfully.

    • Satin fabric or Lyocell is very soft and cosy - with a silky sheen.
    • A mix of cotton and polyester is easy to care for, doesn't crease and is hardly any work (especially when it comes to ironing!)
    • A linen bed sheet is highly thermally conductive. It keeps you warm in winter and nice and cool in summer.

But which material is right for you? That's for you to decide. All our sheets are breathable and help to absorb excess moisture and allow it to evaporate. This keeps your body temperature stable throughout the night. And because our selection is so huge, you're sure to find a sheet to suit your taste.

    Your sheet: size matters!

Make sure you buy the right size! It's not just the width of your mattress that counts, but also the height. We offer fitted sheets for mattress toppers with a height of 3 cm as well as extra-large sheets for box spring beds with a height of up to 36 cm.

90x200 cm fitted sheet: perfect for your single bed

Single bed mattresses have a standard width of 90 cm. To ensure that everything fits tightly, you should choose a 90x200 cm fitted sheet. If your fitted sheet is too large, you run the risk of it slipping off the mattress during the night - despite the elasticated band.

Fitted sheet 140x200 cm: the golden mean

Do you sleep alone but need a little more space to roll around in your bed? Then a fitted sheet for a 140x200 cm mattress is just right for you. This way, you won't fall out of bed even if you have a restless sleep.

Fitted sheet 180x200 to 200x200 cm: For couples and cross-sleepers

Are there two of you or do you just want to be able to lie across the bed? Fitted sheets with 180x200 cm make it possible. You say: It could be even bigger, right? We agree with you! We also have fitted sheets in 200x200 cm for you to choose from.

What is the difference between expensive and cheaper sheets?

The difference between expensive and cheaper sheets often lies in the quality of the material. Expensive sheets are typically made from high-quality materials that are durable, soft and breathable. They may also feature finer details in their design and construction. On the other hand, cheaper sheets may be made from lower-quality materials and might not offer the same level of comfort or longevity. However, price isn’t always indicative of quality, and there are affordable options that offer great value. For instance, IKEA offers inexpensive bed sheets of good quality.

How can I ensure my sheets last longer?

Proper care is key to the longevity of your sheets. Avoid using bleach or fabric softeners, as these can break down the fibers over time. Instead, opt for mild detergents and consider line drying to preserve the fabric’s natural qualities. Regularly rotating your sheets will ensure even wear, and storing them in a cool, dry place will keep them fresh between uses. With these simple practices, your bed sheets can provide comfort and elegance for years to come.

What should it be now? A sheet or a fitted sheet? The elasticated version is undoubtedly the more practical: They are easy to put on, stay in place even after being moved back and forth a lot and crease less than classic sheets. Sheets without elastic are stylish and instantly give you the feeling of sleeping in a luxurious hotel.

Speaking of stylish: to ensure that your bed linen not only suits you, but also the rest of your bedroom, you should pay attention to matching bedroom textiles.
